Tanya Tucker
In 1974, Rolling Stone ran a cover story on Tanya Tucker with the headline that said “You’re Gonna Hear From Me.” Truer words have never been spoken. The country music icon's sultry voice and vivacious stage presence makes her one of the most admired and respected female vocalists in the country music genre. Tanya’s reign includes 23 Top 40 albums and a string of 56 Top 40 singles, 10 of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts. Along the way, she has provided some of the biggest country music hits of each decade, including, "Delta Dawn," "Soon," “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” “It’s a Little Too Late,” "Trouble" and “Texas (When I Die),” just to name a few. Tucker is also the recipient of numerous awards, including two CMAs, two ACMs and three CMT awards. In August 2016, the Academy of Country Music honored Tucker with the Cliffie Stone Icon Award during the 10th Annual ACM Honors™. Alyssa Trahan - (Set time: 6:00 PM)
Alyssa Trahan
Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer. Those are just a few of the impressive points Alyssa Trahan has on her resume. She writes her own music and has written hundreds of songs, plays over a dozen different instruments and produces much of her music herself. She has even produced music for other artists. Plus, she performs on a regular basis, over 100 shows a year, and has opened for several national touring acts including the Charlie Daniels Band, Eric Paslay, Smithfield, Sawyer Brown, High Valley, Jana Kramer, Runaway June, Joe Nichols and more. She has also performed her original music and/or the National Anthem at multiple pro sporting events.
Alyssa began her music career at a very young age. Growing up in the small town of East Rochester, NY, she quickly became known for her talent and drive. Now residing in Nashville, TN, she is creating buzz for the same reasons.
Alyssa has received an impressive amount of airplay for an indie artist, with her music having been played on countless stations around the world, including Sirius XM The Highway. In addition, her music has been featured in multiple independent films, including Never Too Late, which she was asked to write an original song for. On top of that, she has been featured on many websites and blogs, including the homepage of Big City Country (NYC), and has made dozens of live television and radio appearances.
Alyssa has released three albums and/or EPs: Hi (2013), Wild & Crazy (2015) and Daisies (2016). She is also working on a fourth (release date TBD), which was made possible by her dedicated fan base, who altogether raised over $6,000 (over $1k past the initial goal of $5k) in a GoFundMe campaign launched to cover production costs. Every song Alyssa has released was written on her own without the help of co-writers, an accomplishment praised by many.
Alyssa has a bright career ahead of her. And as many agree, she is one to watch for sure.
