Rik Emmett
Rik Emmett
After five decades in the biz, the adjectives ‘prolific’ and ‘eclectic’ frequently pop up in Rik Emmett’s profiles. Following over a dozen platinum albums from his Triumph years, he’s produced 19 more as a non-platinum indie, ranging from rock to blues to jazz to folk to classical – which led to the making of a new full-blown rock record again in 2016, RES 9, for the MASCOT / PROVOGUE label on a worldwide deal.

International notoriety earned him entry into three Canadian Halls of Fame, and a star on the Walk of Fame in his old hometown. He’s also picked up a few ‘Best Guitarist’ awards from different organizations, in various style categories, along the way.

Author of a GUITAR PLAYER magazine column for over a dozen years, the resulting compilation instruction book, “For The Love of Guitar”, recently landed at #4 in Shawn Persinger’s review of “The 50 Greatest Guitar Books”.

As a music educator, Mr. E. remains humbly proud of his long-standing inclusion on the heavily-respected Humber College faculty, where he’s taught Songwriting, Music Business and Directed Studies. He’s also the Artistic Director Emeritus of the Songstudio Songwriting Workshop, which he launched with his pal Blair Packham 13 summers ago.

Rik is currently touring on the RES 9 album he cut for the MASCOT / PROVOGUE label, which was released in November of 2016. When that project came along, he took a hiatus from his new home studio, The Rockit Lab, where he has been using state-of-the-art digital technology to capture new singer-songwriter-guitarist material. When he settles back into The Lab, the plan is to record a steady stream of fresh new songs, make videos, and release them as they are completed, without waiting and worrying about the content forming album ‘product’. This steady flow of new creative work will provide the soundtrack for the next chapter of Rik’s career — a chapter entitled, “ElectrikAcoustik’.

Carl Dixon
Carl Dixon’s powerful vocals, artistry and stage presence have put him at the forefront of the Canadian rock industry for three decades. As one of Canada's most respected musicians, a prolific songwriter, he’s renowned as both a solo artist and band member of groups such as Coney Hatch, The Guess Who and April Wine. He's just released his debut country album "Whole Nother Thing" an official Juno 2018 entry and a whole new sound for one of Canada's most respected rock musicians. Remarkably, after surviving a shocking car crash, Carl also tours as an inspirational speaker to corporations across Canada and the USA.

Throughout his early music career Carl toured with heavy metal icons such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Triumph, Ted Nugent, Accept and Krokus. Carl also scored a staff songwriting deal with Rondor Music in New York in 1990. Among many songs, Carl wrote "Taste of Love" with Brett Walker for Jimi Jamison. That version was featured on an episode of "Baywatch." and in the feature film "Jersey Girl"
